Both maps are activ. 08:37 #navit: < nudeltofu> When i visit a city in NW, navit loads the map-rect of both maps which results in a very slow map loading and rendering. In my oppinion it would be nice to check if a city / map-rect is in more than one map and then just load one of them. What do you think about that? 08:51 #navit: < woglinde> I wonder why you need both maps 08:51 #navit: < woglinde> disable one 09:00 #navit: < nudeltofu> i first downloaded the small NW map and after a while i downloaded the larger germany map. i did not delete the NW map and then i was wondering why the map loading took so long. this may be is a situation which others will have too, thats why i told you here. not everybody will realize that it takes that long because of the second map and they may quit using navit cause its that slow ^^ 09:48 #navit: < marjan> Does Navit.xlm have some kind of debug feature? 10:08 -!- nudeltofu [~nudeltofu@nat49234.hs-niederrhein.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 12:37 -!- Robotaxi [3ef5dbf5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.62.245.219.245] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 13:07 -!- marjan [5427d51a@gateway/web/freenode/ip.84.39.213.26] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 13:24 -!- Celelibi [celelibi@239.194.136.88.rev.sfr.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 13:26 -!- Celelibi [celelibi@22.34.130.77.rev.sfr.net] has joined #navit 13:29 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@127-166-191-90.dyn.estpak.ee] has joined #navit 13:44 -!- nudeltofu [~nudeltofu@nat49234.hs-niederrhein.de] has joined #navit 14:12 -!- woglinde [~henning@fb-n15-11.unbelievable-machine.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 14:50 -!- woglinde [~henning@ip5b41c286.dynamic.kabel-deutschland.de] has joined #navit 15:00 -!- zoff99 [~chatzilla@unaffiliated/zoff99] has joined #navit 15:06 -!- Robotaxi [3ef5dbf5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.62.245.219.245] has joined #navit 15:20 -!- jonathanmaw [~jonathanm@82-70-136-246.dsl.in-addr.zen.co.uk] has joined #navit 15:22 -!- Robotaxi [3ef5dbf5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.62.245.219.245] has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 15:27 #navit: < jonathanmaw> I've been looking at the GENIVI project lbs/navigation, and its build system appears rather puzzling. One thing it does is to checkout navit's source code so that it can access navit's "cmake/navit_macros.cmake" file. I'm looking at the possibility of submitting patches to lbs/navigation to fix this, but I'm unsure what the correct thing to do is 15:29 #navit: < jonathanmaw> the build system checking out navit's source code is a bad idea to me, because that is going to cause problems for system builders like yocto and baserock. 15:29 #navit: < jonathanmaw> I was wondering what #navit would recommend to do about this. 15:50 -!- jjelen [jjelen@nat/redhat/x-izvjddhhzhcohagt] has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 16:22 -!- nudeltofu [~nudeltofu@nat49234.hs-niederrhein.de] has quit [Quit: Leaving] 16:31 -!- KaZeR [~KaZeR@64.201.252.132] has joined #navit 16:32 -!- mode/#navit [+o KaZeR] by ChanServ 16:32 -!- tryagain [~quassel@178.216.76.71] has joined #navit 17:57 #navit: < tryagain> nudeltofu thank you for your report. We have attemped to filter map objects some time ago, but with no success. Do you think it would be a good idea to let user choose active map(s) at startup if they have more than one? 17:59 #navit: < tryagain> marjan navit.xml has debug possibilities described at http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Configuration/Full_list_of_options#debug 18:00 #navit: < tryagain> but this option would offer most probably no help for your issue with crashing map select/map download dialog 18:02 #navit: < tryagain> what you report, looks like java code crash... There should already be backtrace in android logs. Have you tried looking there with some log reading application like alogcat? 18:08 #navit: < tryagain> Actually, alogcat doesn't work on every my device. Better solution is running "adb logcat". Adb is a tool from Android SDK (freely available from Google) which may be installed on windows or linux host to control your android device. 18:09 #navit: < tryagain> To use adb, you enable USB debugging in device settings and connect your device to host with a USB cable. 18:17 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 18:25 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 19:05 -!- woglinde [~henning@ip5b41c286.dynamic.kabel-deutschland.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 19:35 -!- zoff99 [~chatzilla@unaffiliated/zoff99] has quit [Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.86-rdmsoft [XULRunner 1.9.1/20090707221522]] 19:41 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 19:48 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 20:32 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 21:32 -!- _rd [~rd@pD9E7DA38.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 22:40 -!- tryagain [~quassel@178.216.76.71] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 23:30 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@127-166-191-90.dyn.estpak.ee] has quit [Quit: Leaving.] --- Log closed Wed May 13 00:00:54 2015
