[09:29:41] hi @ilovekiruna 😄 [09:29:51] hi @jkoan [09:30:26] today i plan to roll the bbox implementation to get the real extract working [09:30:44] I just checked a bit more on kalliope [09:31:04] are you familiar with the filenames inside the binfile (zipfile)? [09:31:19] kalliope seems to be really interesting, yes [09:31:31] it supports a few STT systems api.ai, Bing, CMUSphinx, Google, Houndify, wit.ai [09:31:49] so wondering which one If is actually using [09:34:00] maybe you remember that I am a bit critical about the backends ;-) [09:34:23] I would find it weird to call navit offline, if STT is done online [09:34:46] so far I never checked binfiles to be hontest [09:34:48] honest* [09:34:50] i feel the same [09:35:10] okay, no problem, i think i will figure it out [09:35:26] I think the only one fine for our purpose would be CMUSphinx and what I remember the quality wasnt so great [09:38:30] but in any case the component getting from STT to dbus is definitely interesting and important [09:38:47] yep [09:42:51] I was looking some months ago into such smart assistants. I found mycroft.ai with mozilla stt most promising [10:35:56] btw: Deadline for FOSDEM is in 3 days [10:36:04] shall we still put something together? [21:11:01] Mycroft requires you to use their srver [21:12:26] googlestt is the best one in kalliope at the moment. It is oly used for word recognitin though. All actions are determined on the machine [21:13:44] @ilovekiruna, it runs on all linux (may require some work for some distros) and I have it working on aarch64, with issues, lol. I believe Raspberry Pi was the original target. [22:31:37] If, to my understanding, they also have the server component FOSS, or am I wrong? [22:35:28] have you ever checked mozilla stt? [22:39:55] from their FAQ: Can Mycroft run completely offline? Can I self-host everything? As a privacy focused project and community, many people are interested in fully offline or self-hosted options. Mycroft has intentionally been built in a modular fashion, so this is possible however is not easy and is unlikely to provide an equivalent user experience.
