00:21 < dTal> Hi guys. I downloaded "navit-current.apk" and selected the "Download first map" option, with thee "UK" map area. It said it was around 250 megabytes, but it continued past "100%" to download a 347 megabyte file. When it finished I still had a blank map. What have I done wrong?

15:20 < tryagain> dTal You may try find a place with search. Go to the main menu (click on the map, then home icon on the left upper corner), select Actions, then Town. And try entering a town name. If no success, look at the flag displayed to the left of the search field.

15:56 < dTal> okay, I couldn't get a GPS fix, and there is no visible flag in the interface - however while stumbling around I found a "search for town" feature and that worked.
