I can't find free maps for that program, so it should work as well as the other program, I agree 64mb is not much 12:46 < ventYl> sdv: most of time bluetooth or gps processes crashed 12:47 < sdv> yeah, the device behaves as if the sd card is empty, so if I press navigation nothing happened, as if it doesn't recognize the sd card but It can read up to 2gb sd cards, and mine is 1gb micro_sd+adapter. 12:49 < sdv> that's my problem, it doesn't recognize navit :( 12:53 < sdv> the original program for the cartrek gps-navigator is a lot bigger than navit, so if the core of navit is smaller it should work even faster. (if i will work at all) 12:54 < ventYl> does it have standard win ce file manager or something different? 12:56 < sdv> if I start it I see this: 1.boot-screen 2.menu{gps-button; navigation-button; settings-button} (it has no file manager) 12:57 < sdv> perhaps I need something similar to autorun... 13:01 < sdv> @ventYl I tried to make it look like the original sd card, same name of the executable file and I copied 2 small text files with something like SHA-hash. 13:01 < ventYl> and how did you run the another navigation? 13:01 < ventYl> ah, you mean navigation software is on card 13:01 < ventYl> now i understand 13:02 < sdv> press on-key, press, navigation, and it starts the cosmicnavigation software from the sd card. so I could replace it with navit right? 13:03 < sdv> according to those specs It has wince5, so I use navit for wince. 13:05 -!- latouche [~Latouche@reverse-169.fdn.fr] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 13:06 -!- latouche [~Latouche@reverse-169.fdn.fr] has joined #navit 13:08 < sdv> ventYl: so the winCE with a custom user interface is on my device, and the navigator is on the card. 13:10 < ventYl> it may have some safety check if cosmic navigation SW is on card or something else 13:10 -!- KaZeR [~kazer@120.170.67.86.rev.sfr.net] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 13:11 < sdv> yeah, could be 13:11 < ventYl> file size or checksum most probably 13:11 < ventYl> or some signature inside file 13:11 < sdv> ok. 13:12 < ventYl> didn't try to google something about the device itself? 13:12 < sdv> a little bit, I didn't find much, and not what I was looking for. 13:15 < sdv> hmmm, there is a cartek forum, and there are topic about overclocking... so there might be a hack. 13:16 < ventYl> you at least need to find how to launch external app 13:17 < sdv> you were right, there is a protection, a volume code for the sd card.. 13:28 < sdv> looks like I found it, with a program called startup I can install tomtom software and games on my cartrek, gonna try it with navit 13:38 -!- drlizau [~liz@billiau.net] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 13:50 -!- sdv [52a95d50@gateway/web/freenode/ip.82.169.93.80] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 15:24 -!- udovdh [~udovdh@pindarots.xs4all.nl] has quit [Ping timeout: 250 seconds] 15:31 -!- udovdh [~udovdh@pindarots.xs4all.nl] has joined #navit 17:06 -!- vodnik [5ee69ca5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.230.156.165] has joined #navit 17:08 < vodnik> Hello. I am trying to make navit speak on N900. espeak works on the command line, but I do not know how to found out whether navit speaks or not. Is there a simple way to make navit speak so that I know whether my configuration is wrong or not? I tried say() command but it says navit:attr_data_size:size for none unknown and I am not sure if it works. 17:15 -!- Robotaxi [3ef5dbf5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.62.245.219.245] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 17:33 -!- kenguest_ [~radagast@lir.talideon.com] has joined #navit 17:33 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: gringo, toer, kenguest 17:34 -!- Netsplit over, joins: toer 17:35 -!- Netsplit over, joins: gringo 17:36 -!- vodnik [5ee69ca5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.230.156.165] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 17:45 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: gringo, toer 17:45 -!- Netsplit over, joins: gringo, toer 17:48 -!- vodnik [5ee69ca5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.230.156.165] has joined #navit 18:09 -!- vodnik [5ee69ca5@gateway/web/freenode/ip.94.230.156.165] has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 18:30 -!- sdev [52a95d50@gateway/web/freenode/ip.82.169.93.80] has joined #navit 18:35 < sdev> yeah, I have got Navit working on a Cartrek 600 gps device. ventYl thank you, I didn't think about volumeid protection. al I have to do is configure the maps and gps device. :-) 18:35 -!- sdev [52a95d50@gateway/web/freenode/ip.82.169.93.80] has quit [Quit: Page closed] 18:54 -!- Netsplit *.net <-> *.split quits: Number6, Celelibi, UukGoblin, PiotrCurious, dTal_, CIA-138, merlijn, tg, latouche, gringo, (+16 more, use /NETSPLIT to show all of them) 18:58 -!- cp15 [skhgbk@p57B1CB25.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 18:58 -!- Netsplit over, joins: toer, gringo, kenguest_, udovdh, latouche, Celelibi, ScriptFanix, sera, noradtux, pini (+15 more) 18:58 -!- ServerMode/#navit [+ooo cp15 Horwitz ChanServ] by holmes.freenode.net 19:02 -!- Cyberish [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has joined #navit 19:02 < Cyberish> hey 19:03 < Cyberish> i have some problems with android 19:03 < Cyberish> twice i have downloaded a map of Denmark, and it works fine, but if close Navit and start up again the map is gone 19:05 < Cyberish> and btw i use the download function on the phone 19:06 < Cyberish> if i go to list of Downloaded Maps (in the menu) i can see it still is there 19:33 -!- pini [~pini@bou-fi.pustule.org] has quit [Quit: Coyote finally caught me] 19:36 -!- pini [~pini@bou-fi.pustule.org] has joined #navit 20:43 -!- Cyberish [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 20:56 -!- Cyberish [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has joined #navit 21:12 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 21:26 -!- Cyberish_ [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has joined #navit 21:28 -!- Cyberish [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 21:28 -!- Cyberish_ is now known as Cyberish 21:47 -!- drlizau [~liz@billiau.net] has joined #navit 22:00 -!- Cyberish [~chatzilla@port42.ds1-aaa.adsl.cybercity.dk] has quit [Ping timeout: 272 seconds] 22:08 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [] 22:08 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 22:25 -!- drlizau [~liz@billiau.net] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 22:25 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 22:26 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has joined #navit 22:35 -!- _rd [~rd@p57B497E5.dip0.t-ipconnect.de] has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] --- Log closed Thu Aug 09 00:00:47 2012
