It's a ND-100s and it works fine with xgps, but when I start navit it either does not detect anything when source is set to gpsd://localhost or it displays 0°0'0" coordinates when vehicle source is set to file://dev/ttyUSB0 and gives an error "vehicle_file:vehicle_file_io:Overflow. Most likely wrong baud rate or no nmea protocol". Wha 19:54 < curious> trix312, do you have gpsd up and running? 19:55 < trix312> yes i run it beforehand with "gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0" 19:55 < curious> can you connect to gpsd with any other app? 19:56 < curious> ah, u already mentioned xgps 19:56 < trix312> yeah, xgps works great. 19:56 < curious> hmm, weird, it works fine for me 19:57 < trix312> do you have source set to gpsd://localhost ? 19:59 < curious> yes 20:03 < trix312> i don't have any vehicle show up if I set it to "gpsd://localhost" 20:04 -!- tparcina [~tomo@cisco15.fesb.hr] has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 20:05 -!- tparcina [~tomo@cisco15.fesb.hr] has joined #navit 20:07 < curious> hmm, maybe your formatting is not right or you miss enable tag within vehicle profile 20:25 < trix312> i have this exactly 20:26 < curious> can xgps connect to gpsd when navit is started? 20:27 < curious> note you need fix for navit to update position 20:27 < curious> gps fix 20:27 < curious> without fix navit will just wait forever 20:28 < curious> so make sure you have enough sattelites in view ... 20:34 < trix312> hmm...xgps says it is fixed (3D Fix), with 4 satellites if I understand it correctly. When i run xgps and navit simultaneously, xgps is working, navit is still not showing any vehicle. 20:35 < trix312> i read in the navit wiki under Gpsd troubleshooting that this could be due to the wrong version of gpsd being installed. But i do not know how to check which version I have. 20:47 -!- fOB [~fob@ip-178-202-247-64.unitymediagroup.de] has quit [Quit: Leaving] 20:49 < trix312> only relevant thing which i see when running navit is navit:vehicle_new:invalid type 'gpsd' .... don't know what this means. 20:54 -!- Megaf [~Megaf@unaffiliated/megaf] has quit [Quit: Leaving] 20:58 < curious> hmm, are you sure navit got compiled with gpsd support @ all? 20:59 < curious> perhaps just repeat the compilation process, making sure you install proper version of gpsd first 21:10 -!- antenna1 [~antenna@p5DCEF143.dip.t-dialin.net] has joined #navit 21:30 -!- drlizau [~liz@billiau.net] has joined #navit 21:58 -!- drlizau [~liz@billiau.net] has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 22:13 < trix312> i somehow managed to get it working for now.
