06:03 #navit: < epy> forgot to say: I will use a trick to control the computer on bike as in car: buttons will behave as keyboard or keyboard shortcuts. Some Arduino boards can make such behaviour, or there is some electronics (not hand made) which can send keyboard codes when you make a resistance vary on their pins (ask me if you want a link, I'll find it for you)

I may use it with a lib (C or Python depending which langage I feel able to use for this project) to call it and make it decode video or audio; but it would require to manage everything: playlists, UI etc.. which would not be necessary if I use VLC (integrated, don't know how to do that for instance) and MPD (developping a embedded client).
