That's superb! 10:00 #navit: < Gigis> 2. How soon would that be? I'm wondering whether it wouldn't be better to use QML2 instead of te internal version. How well developed it is? Are there many bugs? 10:01 #navit: < Gigis> 3. So I have my GUI and I'm just not sure whether when I use an image/installer (like https://github.com/navit-gps/raspbian-ua-netinst or the prebuilt image of QML2 https://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/QML2_GUI) I will still be able to use the GUI 10:01 #navit: < Gigis> 4. Thanks for the information. 10:01 #navit: < Gigis> 5. Naggety: In a normal configuration you connect the GPS module directly to the Raspberry Pi. Because of the distance I'm not doing that and I'm just sending longitudinal and lateral coordinates. Thus, I need to make a script that is going to get this data, somehow convert it to NMEA and pass it to Navit. I got to this website: http://www.gpsinformation.org/dale/nmea.htm#GLL where they give numerous NMEA sentences. Do you maybe know wh 10:03 #navit: < Gigis> Do you maybe know which are accepted by Navit?* 11:07 -!- ilovekiruna [~ilovekiru@62.214.5.194] has joined #navit 11:07 -!- mode/#navit [+v ilovekiruna] by ChanServ 11:35 #navit: < naggety> Gigis: but how are you sending that information? Where is the GPS module connected to? 11:39 #navit: < naggety> Gigis: accepted NMEA messages: GGA, VTG, RMC, ZDA, GPGSV (also IISMD but not useful for you) 11:40 #navit: < naggety> Gigis: you don't need to send all of them, only the ones that contains the info you need. For example, sending just RMC sentence could be enough 11:42 -!- ilovekiruna [~ilovekiru@62.214.5.194] has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 12:14 -!- ilovekiruna [~ilovekiru@62.214.5.194] has joined #navit 12:14 -!- mode/#navit [+v ilovekiruna] by ChanServ 13:02 -!- ilovekiruna [~ilovekiru@62.214.5.194] has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 13:06 -christel(christel@freenode/staff/exherbo.christel)- [Global Notice]: Hi all, we're excited to be able to announce that Bradley Kuhn, Chris Lamb, Kyle Rankin, Leslie Hawthorn and VM Brassuer are all keynoting this year's freenode #live in Bristol, UK on 3-4 November.
