--- Log opened Wed Sep 05 00:00:40 2018 00:11 #navit: < Celelibi> This week-end, I've had some fucked up routing with navit. 00:14 #navit: < Celelibi> Using the "car detailled" profile, it wanted me to join the highway through "service ways". (Those side entry / exits with a closed gate and a double "no entry".) 04:44 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@2001:bb8:2002:200:6651:6ff:fe53:a120] has joined #navit 04:44 -!- mode/#navit [+v xenos1984] by ChanServ 06:07 -!- naggety [~naggety@190.red-2-141-28.dynamicip.rima-tde.net] has joined #navit 12:01 -!- Millesimus [~Millesimu@2a01:4f8:121:302a:dead::80] has joined #navit 14:01 -!- naggety [~naggety@190.red-2-141-28.dynamicip.rima-tde.net] has quit [Quit: Konversation terminated!] 14:05 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@2001:bb8:2002:200:6651:6ff:fe53:a120] has quit [Quit: Leaving.] 14:27 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@22-164-191-90.dyn.estpak.ee] has joined #navit 14:27 -!- mode/#navit [+v xenos1984] by ChanServ 15:33 #navit: <@KaZeR> hi there 15:34 #navit: <@KaZeR> Celelibi: probably a map issue. do you know where it happened? 16:17 #navit: <+jkoan> hi KaZeR 16:28 #navit: <@KaZeR> 'sup jkoan ? 16:30 #navit: <+jkoan> nothing special 16:35 #navit: <@KaZeR> sometimes that's good :) 16:35 #navit: <+jkoan> i thought about a change on circleci for pull requests: what about skip some builds on pull requests or run them in series to save some cpu time we have, so when linux fails the other builds will fail as well, so we dont need to start all others, or what do think? 16:42 #navit: <@KaZeR> so you want to build, say, win32 after linux, in case the linux build fails? 16:45 #navit: <+jkoan> only if it not fails 16:47 #navit: <+jkoan> for example pull -> sanity -> linux -> win32 -> and so on. If linux would fail we should just skip the other ones 16:57 #navit: <+jkoan> KaZeR: #658 finished or wip? 16:58 #navit: <+jkoan> and what about #657 ? 17:03 #navit: <+jkoan> KaZeR: what do you think about replaceing the support contents by git submodules? 18:35 #navit: <@KaZeR> > If linux would fail we should just skip the other ones 18:36 #navit: <@KaZeR> but then it would slow down most of the builds 18:36 #navit: <@KaZeR> as android/tomtom/win* wouldn't start building before the linux build is done 18:38 #navit: <+jkoan> Yes, right, but we would lower the usage of circleci which is currently again at a really high level 18:38 #navit: <+jkoan> Or investigate on Travis? 18:39 #navit: <@KaZeR> i did look into travis when we switched to circleci, but circleci offered better features 18:40 #navit: <@KaZeR> what's your concern about having a high level of usage on circleci? 18:40 #navit: <@KaZeR> the fact that some builds are delayed? 18:44 #navit: <+jkoan> Yes, the delay and the warning message on circleci that said we are useing 80% of our current plan and if was at 120% already 18:46 #navit: <+jkoan> I also thought about a own Jenkins with nodes to test as many different configurations as possible 18:48 #navit: <+jkoan> With other words, I'm currently not really happy with our ci solution. But don't get me wrong, circleci is cool, but I think it can become even better if we would investigate. And I have quite some experience with Jenkins for example and with some ci as well 19:05 #navit: <@KaZeR> yeah jenkins is a good product. but it would mean that someone has to maintain it 19:08 #navit: <+jkoan> That's true :/ best would be a managed Jenkins in cloud. But I know how to maintain a Jenkins server including updates. I do this at my main work as well 19:11 #navit: <@KaZeR> we would have to pay for a managed jenkins though 19:22 #navit: <+jkoan> We would have to always pay for Jenkins, true. But it could make automation much more fluid ;) 19:22 #navit: <+jkoan> We could at least think about it. I will leave now, see you tomorrow? 19:43 #navit: <@KaZeR> sure 20:04 #navit: < genesis> who knows:) 20:34 #navit: <@KaZeR> hey genesis 20:34 #navit: < genesis> plop KaZeR 20:34 #navit: <@KaZeR> haha plop, haven't seen that in years :D 20:35 #navit: < genesis> we're still alive. 20:35 #navit: < genesis> we're the plop. 20:35 #navit: <@KaZeR> plop forever 22:02 -!- xenos1984 [~xenos1984@22-164-191-90.dyn.estpak.ee] has quit [Quit: Leaving.] 22:04 #navit: < Celelibi> KaZeR, it happened at the coordinate 44°'47'17"N 1°31'42"E. 22:11 #navit: < Celelibi> The service way has the attributes highway=service access=emergency. 22:16 #navit: < Celelibi> Not sure which attributes are used by navit. 22:51 #navit: <@KaZeR> navit shouldn't have routed you via a "service" road for sure. 22:56 #navit: <@KaZeR> Celelibi: this one? https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=44%C2%B047%2717%22N%201%C2%B031%2742%22E#map=17/44.78820/1.52831 22:56 #navit: <@KaZeR> driving up north? --- Log closed Thu Sep 06 00:00:42 2018
