It's a known issue,. Run "systemctl stop gpsd", then "systemctl disable gpsd" to separate the two. Then, if you have udev and gpsd set to use it, when you plug your gps receiver in to a USB port, udev should fire up gpsd correctly. 18:57 #navit: <+Navit> You need to know which of several possible devices in /dev is the gpsd device. There may also be a kernel module to load. For example, u-blox 8 requires cdc_acm. 18:58 #navit: <+Navit> Do make sure gpsd is working correctly, preferably with the included gpsd clients.
