Used javascript for the car specific commands, so its easy to add new cars once they're reverse engineered. I'm in the process of creating a proper implementation based on my prototype. [14:45:44] <07KaZeR> @viktorgino nice. I did something similar for the SAE J1850 protocol. [14:46:13] *** Quits: xenos1984 (~xenos1984@2001:bb8:2002:200:6651:6ff:fe53:a120) (Quit: Leaving.) [14:50:28] <07viktorgino> What do you use j1850 for? And also what adapter are you using? Im working with an elm327 clone which supports the most common car protocols, but I find it a bit flaky and mcp2515 bases shields, thats CAN only, but those are a lot better than elm327 [14:51:08] <07viktorgino> The car i got the ac working in actually uses j1850 for the ac controls [15:05:37] *** Joins: xenos1984 (~xenos1984@ed1d-dddb-ea2e-10c2-d480-87c4-07d0-2001.dyn.estpak.ee) [15:05:37] *** ChanServ sets mode: +v xenos1984 [16:46:06] *** Joins: jandegr (d4470e47@gateway/web/freenode/ip.212.71.14.71) [17:19:34] <07KaZeR> my original intent was to use the steering wheels buttons to work to control music playback. I was able to figure out a few more things, like gas tank level, which gear was engaged and a few more. Never figured out the AC part, but I think that in my car the controls might have been hooked up to the AC unit directly. This turned out into this navit plugin : [17:19:34] https://github.com/navit-gps/navit/blob/trunk/navit/plugin/j1850/j1850.c And a bunch of notes about the other messages I was able to decode.
