Ethernet icon appears as connected!! and on device it says! if you want to connect to a PC goto tomtom.com/getstarted . this page has a link to My Drive software!! Maybe this device! Start20 cant not be access as mass storage!! [05:10:15] do i need driver for this on Ubuntu? [06:25:28] No driver is needed [06:26:26] Have you also rebooted the device? It needs to be connected when going through the bootloader [06:26:56] on windows machine! I removed the MyDrive! this devices is recognized as network adapter!! strange devices! :S [06:28:00] yes I turned it off! thn connected it with PC , it automatically turned on! and shows a PC icon on screen! too! [06:30:09] The thing with the network adapter is kind of normal, it's a convenient way to support all operating Systems [06:38:02] Ah I see the Problem, I thought the start20 was one of the old style software devices, but actually it's one of those this a new software base. I did only took a sneak peek into its software and couldn't figure out how to hack it so far. I only noticed that adb (android debugging bridge) is mentioned in the license and probably it is like a android tablet. But I haven't breaked into it as it wasn't my device [06:44:11] oh adb! let me check adb devices! lets see if it shows! [06:45:17] hmm! nothing in device list! [06:45:55] if its different from other devices which can use Navit! it mean Navit will not work on it!1 [07:57:58] Yes, but if we are able to hack into the device we should be able to make it work [10:14:59] yeah! but unfortunately I have no idea about hacking! 😫 [17:45:31] i do have some, but without the device its really hard. Hacking usually requires a lot of poking around
