Those files should be within the same directory as navit.xml. Probably you need to adjust the xi_include path otherwise

This won't give you the most recent version but still a functional navit except from an issue with the layout files which you would need to download manually. This way you could configure the pi to be whatever you want, ether a dedicated navigation system or a system which other app

I havnt tried the navigation yet as i havnt recieved the final hardware i'll be using navit on yet. I did however notice that i have do not have any button / overlay at all, just the map. I thought that these were what the layouts were for but its apparently not. Is there more extra files i need to download ?
